Slightly more than 80% of IndustryWeek's Best Plants winners and finalists over the past five years provide just-in -time delivery to their customers. It is a practice customers may desire as a means to keep their inventory levels low, but it requires a level of cooperation and trust between the supplier and customer. As this table indicates, among the Best Plants winners and finalists who offer just-in-time delivery, they offered it to about 68.8% of their customers, on average, over the past five years. At least one winner or finalist delivers on a just-in-time basis to all of its customers.
